Don't miss our science buskers, out and about on the Riverside Terrace. Throughout the Festival these scientists, science communicators and entertainers perform their experiments and demonstrations, offering passers-by the chance to watch and try out the science for themselves.

Pterosaurs: Dragons of the Air

Pterosaurs are taking over Southbank Centre!

Researchers from the University of Portsmouth are creating five life-sized pterosaur models, including one with a wing span of 10 metres, to better appreciate what these animals may have looked like when alive.

Discover the science of words and the words of science in a weekend filled with performance, poetry and play. Children and their families can explore the library and learn the language of the world around them in science-fuelled poetry activities from poetry collective Aisle16 from 11am to 4pm.

Admission is free, but spaces are limited so arrive early. Suitable for all ages.
